DOT doesn't need to know what I was doing all day. As far as they're concerned I have a small bladder.

Are there any ways for you to take the truck out of there? What conditions must be met, other than paying it off?
If you can't decide on what to do with the truck and are forced by their dispatch to do what they want, then it was not a good deal at all. You can say no, but they then will starve you to death. What would happen if you wanted to get out of the deal? Credit issues, collections? But I am surprised, I thought Werner was a good and decent uncle compared to other megas.

All your loads are #### loads dude. That pay scale equates to you driving the truck for them for MAYBE .20 a mile. MAYBE. You're feeling tight because you are actually being squeezed as hard as humanly possible. I've been there in the brokerage version of that. I took the red pill and my pay literally doubled. I firmly believe you could do the same thing and should as fast as your ### can get the truck to wherever the turn in location is.

EDIT: I just can't get the numbers out of my head. I need to buy some trucks I guess. The idea that it's possible to get trucking cost down to like 1.27 all miles... Sweet Jesus could I make a lot of money.

More accurately I need to have a kid, buy a house, pay off a mountain of student loan debt, and THEN start saving up to buy trucks. ####### this climb is hard. I really need one of the attempted new employees to turn a profit next year.

Nobody loves Chicago... not even the Poles. (With love. I just know a lot of Polish truck drivers and trucking company owners.)

If your making good money right now then you might as well get started. Waiting will only make you miss out on this upswing. 2014 was a great growth year but 15 and 16 were hard. Second half of 17 through 18 will be very good again IMO.

Your problem is you went to college.

Besides there is no reason you can't have kids and start a family. Your behind a little bit but at the same time your broker experience helps you a lot.

The operation you would probably want would likely cost around 1.75/mi to be on the safe side. Still money to be made though.
