Well I appreciate all of the info from everyone! Will see what my manager say in the morning I'm just ready to get out of Illinois because anything near Chicago is a headache
-
I don't believe your version of events, but I wish you the best of luck.
Next time, don't follow so closely, or play with electronic devices, as to not notice traffic slowing in front of you. -
Well that how it happened sorry to break it 2 you I have those 2 little
Guys I have to get home and provide for everyday . I refuse to not follow the rules when I know what can happen in a instant I don't cut my phone on until my shift is over I've always been a cautious driver anyway and they stress following distance because the sensor will automatically go off and the truck will
Break if you are too close following distance anyway but hey #### happens in the rain -
Don't lie. It was wet, and the traffic came to a halt too quickly for you to stop... You didn't hydroplane. You simply didn't have enough stopping space.
You are trying to lie to people that have been doing this job for decades. -
Why would I lie if I'm asking for help defeats the purpose idk what your problem but I hope you have a better day than accusing others ... it was wet and raining traffic was merging to one lane I was moving at a slow speed 5-10 mph a car comes flying over in front of me and hit breaks! As I hit my breaks I slowly skid/hydroplane right into the back of the car but it barely tapped the vehicle ... no damage no one harmed go through level three inspection pass it and I'm handed a citation exactly what happened it was a lose lose situation because as I was told I'm the professional driver I am supposed to be able to avoid that but it wasn't my fault .. I had properly extended my following distance and the guy stops directly in front of me and it's a love tap like when you back up too far in parking lot and bump another car ... can't and won't argue with u about what I know happened and you wasn't there buddy have a blessed one
trucker3205 Thanks this. -
The point is you locked up your brakes and slid, you didn't hydroplane.fuller Thanks this.

Hello. I work oilfield and I'm paying two myself this year. About to finish paying off an overweight that I got in January (company refused to pay) and just Sunday I lost control on a clear day and jackknifed, narrowly avoiding the ditch. The best thing to do is to contact the judge of that county and see how they will want to receive payment. Yes. It hurts having your MVR ####ed with but on the other hand pay off the fine. If you don't it will mess with your CDL. Not sure how it works in other states but in Texas it takes a week for the citation to show up.Smitty89 Thanks this.
