At time I actually miss Swift!
-
Why not make it REALLY late? I guess.
Well I got that one delivered this evening and then bobtailed to JV terminal. The customer didn't say anything about the load being late.
A pplan came in this afternoon that gets me back to Denver on the 21st for my home time - and almost on time as it was set for the 20th. But I think the place I'm delivering to is closed on Sunday, and one day after the requested date is quite acceptable to me.
I can take my time with the load this weekend, so I can stop in Primm for a little gambling tomorrow. -
Jacksonville, seeing loads come up on mac30 weighing 21 pounds, under 400 loaded miles, and can't deliver until Monday. I can't even get an empty right now, so maybe a hotel room and a little Bourbon in my weekend plans.
-
The Residence Inn off Bay Meadows is bob tail friendly and the 4 Rivers Smokehouse on the other side of 95 is some seriously good BBQ.
-
Well, now I feel really lucky to have a thousand mile load over the weekend.
And an on-time home time as well! -
Make it a wasted weekend and bobtail up to SC for the eclipse Monday. I'm loading Jimmy Carter's nuts in Ashburn, GA this morning headed to Laredo so I'm going to miss it.

Stratford mo at the TA WITH about 7 other swifts as well. They tried giving me a pu 220 miles away picking up tonight and I had 2 hours left. Nope and mac 30 had nothing.

Barstow, CA at the TA.
Heck of a day.
It began well enough. I was sent to pick up an mt 2 miles away, and it went downhill from there.
Slogging through accident traffic, and then more traffic to the pick up. When I got to the shipper it took 2 hours just to get through the front gate. Then another 1.5 hours finding the trailer, getting a yard jockey to move a trailer that was parked in front of it, walking back to the gate to inquire about a seal number that was wrong, then trying to find another yard jockey to move another trailer in the aisle so I could pull out.
Then it was more traffic and 10-20 mph speeds most of the way through the LA area getting out.
In all about 5 hours wasted between traffic and the shipper. -
Do I have you confused with someone else. Didn't you go over to Choice? And you're back now?
