And the answer is.....wait for it..........YES, it does but only in sound, not actual feel through the stick.

That has to feel weird, not feeling the anything in the stick. You'll be pro for sure if you can shift that thing without grinding.

It's the end of the second week. Classroom work is all done, including the simulator. ( In a previous post, I stated that there was no physical feed back in the shifter indicating grinding gears......wrong. There is both audible and the feel that you missed your gear. )

Next two weeks are all range and road work. I've got my pre-trip, in-cab, air brakes and post trip inspections down to the point that both my instructor and the director of the school both say I would hit 95-98 percent....I' won't be satisfied until it's 100% and I've got two weeks to accomplish that. See ya!!!!

Edit: Four pre-hires....two of which I wanted......

OK, end of week three. Monday, range work. Straight line backing, not a problem....off-set, good to go. Tuesday my instructor asked me to try and parallel park. I took a formula from an old friend and it worked like a charm. The instructor said, "you got lucky, do it again". Two more to the drivers side and one to the blind side. It works every time if you take you're time. So, got in the truck that afternoon...fast forward to Friday mid-day and my road instructor told me I was ready to test on Monday but, the tester has jury duty so Tuesday it is. I'm not nervous but I have anxious energy.
