Driving along border at night

So I'm in kauai one night taking a piss... hear a oink and hear the bushes shake. I shine my phone in its direction. There was a hog 5 feet in front me of eyeing me down. I ran for the stairs so fast.

how many drivers do you know who have gotten terrorized by a cartel?

 

Maybe the answer is to wear a hard hat if you get out to water the tires. I mean, you never know when a 60 lb bag of drugs is going to come flying over the border, right?

 

I'll say. Paranoid ppe, a kilo to the head would be bad news.

Heaven forbid someone came knocking on my truck for help, or maybe just some water. I'd probably have a heart attack right then and there.

 

Okay, I fess up. I ran that route more than a few times. I always slept like a baby next to the border. Little traffic, other than border patrol. Quiet. Stars are out. What more do you want on God's great earth?

 

The other day I was up by the Canadian border, saw some border patrol up there too. I didn't feel the need for my hard hat though Canadians aren't scary.
