So my new company has given me a t800, i love the truck, however my cb of choice is a galaxy 949. This cb as we all know has a side mount Mic plug. And the mounting place in the truck is in the overhead. It's one of the locking trays that drop down. Now the radio will fit just fine, until I plug the Mic in. With that the Mic will not fit at all.

Should I just have a cb shop move the Mic mount to the read of the radio, or is there a feasible alternative?

Try different mounting position where holes exsist for bolt up mount then run your own coax...This is in a company cascadia..

Hot glue the radio to the dash. Not kidding... it doesn't damage the plastic or the radio, no holes to drill, and makes it easy to unstick from the dash and move to another truck if needed.

You'll need to reglue it every once in a while, especially if you run rough roads.
