I carried different soups that could be eaten cold, tuna, tortillas, easy-cheese, crackers, assorted fruit cups, random sweets, 2 one gallon water jugs, etc.
I've been snowed/iced in for 48hrs before off 287 between Denver and Amarillo. Literally 2 days of DOT shutting down 287 and not letting you run either direction. This is why you store food, quite a few of us ended up sharing food with drivers that didn't have any packed.
On a side note, I also kept a supply of canned oysters and sardines. I don't like them, so they were guaranteed to be there until I actually needed them.(Or until I felt like feeding stray cats at a customer)

I just have a Koolatron. Mostly used it for Protein Pack snacks, Jam for PB&J sandwiches, or stick a few Walmart salads in there. Otherwise, I have canned fish and chicken.
This Polaner brand jam is supposedly the healthier option versus Jelly. It does taste better.
Also tried these Hillshire Snack 'Plates'.

don't know about him,but I've got indoor plumbing in my house.lol. -
Well I've been thinking of buying a harvest right freeze dryer. A few drivers have been using freeze dried food that they get from another drivers wife who owns two units, so she makes that her husband likes and he has her make extra to give to other drivers, they are home often but avoid the food crap at the truckstops.
