Even with not mistakes we are being overcharged.

People ARE human, and make mistakes. Unless the same person makes the same "mistake" again, I think you will have a lot less heartburn if you consider it a mistake. Particularly if they correct it when you call it to their attention.

Always, I mean ALWAYS insist on getting a receipt!
You don't make enough money to finance some jerk off screwing up. Whether deliberate or accidentally.

Yep, overpricing is also something that can be encountered at truck stops.

I think what pisses me off the most is when the posted price on an item says one thing, but when they run the bar code through the scanner they charge a higher price. Then when you call it to their attention, they have to call a manager, who physically goes to the shelf and verifys that you aren't lying to them. Then he has to approve the void of the charged price before the correct price can be entered.

I always use this real easy questionnaire to see if I am being overcharged:

    1. Are you at a truck stop?
    2. Did you buy something?

If the answer is 'Yes' to both questions, you overpaid.

Yep, or when they catch it in time, look at you funny but enter it into the register. They think you're a god when the machine tells them how much to give back.

    GoLowes48 Thanks this.
