The Pilot/Hook App

    This thing needs to work from at least 5 miles out instead of only on the parking lot (for showers). It sucks getting off an exit and dealing with the toll booths just to get to the lot, taking the time to park and seeing this on the app when all you really want is a hot shower.

    It would be nice to be able to stop at a rest area and check before I get there so it's possible to plan accordingly.

    Make it so, Haslam. And do it sometime before your prison term!

    I've made a note of that to their "tech support" one time about 6 months ago on a phone support conversation. I noted you should be able to at least see the status from anywhere but not necessarily be able to reserve until inside the fence. But no help yet.

    There's a LOT of things that suck about their app (IOS), chief of which it's slow to load, has a stupid auto-zoom feature that works when I don't want it to, and can not book parking directly, inside the app without having to AGAIN search for the store I was just detailing in the app. Maybe the Android version behaves differently, I don't know.

    Notice they don't even put an option to offers suggestions and note problems inside the app, either. Poor app design and functionality, top to bottom, from such a large corporation with unlimited developer budget.

    Unless you have a rider in your truck you shouldn't be messing with your phone while you're driving a semi truck.

    Yeah it looks like this app is just an afterthought that they will get to whenever. The reserve parking on Android just opens a browser tab on the Pilot Web page - no way to directly reserve anything in the app.

    They probably pay some Indian company $0.02/hr to program the thing.

    Now Mother! When will you start letting me be like all the other kids? I hate you!
