    There is a def emulator in this truck. I just bought it. I am getting the 5443 fmi 7 code. Light stays on all the time. Something to do with def, doser system?

    My big question is, will this affect how the truck is running? It seems to drive OK, but since I just got it, I have no real reference. Would this make the truck be down on power?

    You need to get it fixed as soon as possible. The engine will de-rate to 5 mph if you don't

    Did you have that happen with this code?

    I drove it about 300 miles and it seemed OK. It made around 20-25psi but did seem like it was down on power, but I have no reference for full power.

    Your problem is with the dpf doser injector. It's part of the emissions system the truck will allow you to drive for a while but eventually it will de-rate the motor to 5 mph. I don't think you would want that to happen in the middle of no where or while your in traffic in the big city and need a tow. You have an issue fix it

    I think that's the def pressure is low. Mine used to come on all the time, once a month for a few minutes and I just ignored it, as it would go back off. It happened more often when it would rain. However, if it's staying on, it usually indicates a problem, might need to clean or replace the dower injector as the def tends to crystallize and clog up.

    It comes in the morning when it is cold. I use reset tool and it disappears.
    Comes back in the morning again.
    Looks ok to me
