LOL, just noticed your username, motocross25, I race vintage motocross, going to use the Marmon to pull my race trailer. Do you race?

Oh nice! Yea I do. Well did. I used to race motocross but since I cracked 30 years old now I'm in the woods doin hare scrambles. Which I thought would be less dangerous, but now I'm not so sure lol. Trees don't budge a whole lot. I have a CRF250X. How about you?

I am 60 years old, and took a 38 year break from MX, had to get the kids raised. Now I race a CZ, a Maico, a Husqvarna and an Ossa, all about 1974 vintage. Been racing the national AHRMA circuit for 4 years. But, I broke my knee cap in late April, so I am sidelined for now.

Oh nice! And a broken knee cap sounds painful. Wishing you a speedy recovery. My neighbor a few years back had a Maico. And my buddy actually just the other day was rooting around in his late grandfathers barn and dug out a Hodaka. I don't know a ton about vintage bikes but I like them. Not a lot of forgiveness to the rider on them that's for sure!

It sure would be an attention getter at ATHS shows, when you're not busy on the racing circuit. Those old hands go NUTS over that old iron, and they know a lot about keeping old iron alive. Plus, they have a lot of great stories about "Trucking Before the Interstates." I never get tired of stories from the era when the U.S. Highways were the only way to go.

I would really enjoy that....I want to go to one of those shows. Need to find one close to Texas, so that I can attend. Love to hear those old stories, too. Lots of knowledge and experience, that I still highly value.
