I did NOT order my pizza with a fuel topping. :biggrin_25512:
However, it doesn't sound all that bad.
    Bring it anyway.

    Flamin' Pizza?
Could start a new trend. :biggrin_25525:
Just don't torch it off 'till you get here.
    10-4?

Why is that a bad thing? Just think about it, Truck and trailer worth between $100,000-200,000 bucks possibly loaded with freight worth at least that much. A trucker is in charge of his or her rig and everything on it, that means being totally responsible. This ain't summer camp. There are ways to leave a company without just dumping it somewhere. If you rally can't take it any more, tell the company that you are leaving immediately and find out the nearest designated drop point. If that doesn't work, then find the Local Law Enforcement and turn in the truck to them, and make sure you get a reciept.
Don't expect the company to bend over backwards to accomidate you, but you signed on with them and you probably signed an agreement on how to terminate your employment. Stick to the agreement and you will save yourself alot of aggrivation and expense.
Trucking means time away from home, and just because your recruiter promised that you'd be home every weekend doesn't make it so. Your friend sounds like he/she is very immature and didn't look into this line of work too deeply.
One other thing, Abandonments will show up on a DAC report and your friend will have a very difficult time finding another job in the trucking industry. The DAC is your ticket in or out and companies will almost certainly check it out before they consider hiring a driver.

What you've said is too true. :yes2557:

But I'm thinkin' that those Big truck truck drivers who abandon Big trucks
do so more out of revenge, --- never considering the ramifications of their actions.

Then, there are those who sell the fuel and other Big truck truck parts,
like tires and aluminum rims and CB radio, before they walk away, ---
figuring that'll get even with the truckin' company.
I think the trucking companies see that as interstate theft,
and turn it over to the Feds, and they'll be loggin' jail time,
as the guards abandon the key.

    OH!
And WELCOME to the forums, BigDog. :biggrin_25519:

    BigDogMarty57 Thanks this.

No but you do need a Class C or higher... Trust me, I have my Class A and the closest I can get to a big truck is driving my 4 banger to deliver pizzas. It is a 2nd job however and I was supposed to become a driver at my 1st job after acquring my CDL but they decided to hire someone else so my CDL is now collecting dust. I do however enjoy poking at people and showing them my c=CDL and saying I got it to deliver pizzas...

BTW I was kidding in case ya missed it.

They are going to institue a new driver's license class for pizza delivery drivers. You are going to have to have a "class P" endorsement. Even if you deliver on a bicycle.

Oh yeah, if you order it with those hot chilies you will also need your hazmat! [IMG] [IMG]
