As a former reefer puller I've experienced the low miles, the inconsistent time of day driving, the extended wait times, unit failures, etc. what your talking is detention pay. Not the wait. Look for companies with better considerations for detention. You can't say you want more miles because long unloads and loading will always decrease your miles. Also have you tried putting a little pressure on the customer? The least I want to hear is exactly what's going on. Then I'll come back again, but with good detention pay Id let em take as long as they need.
