    I'm trying to use one of those "noise canceling" mics in place of the stock mic on this Rockford, 1000W amp. It's for a bicycle trailer sound system build to be used at parties and such.
    As far as "creating" one goes, it seems as though this mobile sound system project is going to go through the budget roof. I'm thinking a male/female connector and then solder a 3.5mm jack from another mic?

    Nothing like testing out soldering skills with early onset Palsy.(could never get welding down as my hands tended to microshake alot.)

    check the manual for mic input impedance as the mic you will be using may be to low.

    The amp has a 20k impedance, the mic is less than that. AND the amp needs something to drive it.

    Typically, those boards are switchable, 10k is somewhere in the ball park.

    I could not find anything about the input being switchable, it is an unbalanced input with rca jacks.

    It's a Rockville "RXM-F3" Marine Amp. It's supposed to be for a car, but I'm using it as a bicycle towed, PA/Sound system.
