I've been at Crete now for a little over a month ( Wilmer Terminal ) My first truck was a prostar. it broke down on my first load, 10 miles. I got towed back lost 3 days of work. After it was fixed it worked for two weeks and started throwing codes. I was told it was the onguard. went home for 3 days and when I got back, I couldn't find my truck ? So I find out it was at International for dpf issues. So I asked for another truck and was sent to Deland FL. this time I got a Cascadia. Both trucks have just under 400 k miles. But now im on my second night at the beautiful Magnuson Grand in Desoto. They have to install a power inverter for my CPAP, and detail it. IT was very dirty inside. They also had to do a proper check in as that was never done. They just handed me the keys and said it was out there in the back. The shop here said if they didn't detail it I would have to pay for it when I turn it in. So this is day two with no truck. I think ive spent as much time sitting around the terminal as I have driving. No loner trucks.. I guess time will tell how well this works out. When im running they keep me preplanned so that's not an issue. The money seems ok but ive only gotten two real pay checks. Im getting between .50 cents a mile and 67 cents a mile. running around Dallas and Ft. Worth, Temple, Paris, Austin, and Ardmore Ok. I'll let you know how it turns out on a later date....

Is anyone currently on the local port run in Chester, PA? If so would you be able to tell me about how many miles a day you're getting?

Does Crete actually force drivers to take a CPAP test, even if your last physical said you were fine?

They'll have you get a physical whoever they want.
They test for sleep apnea if your BMI is over 35 percent, or if you fill out the questionnaire and admit to sleep problems.

And I know nothing about the container fleet

Thanks. Where my current company sends me to get my physical they just examine your throat to decide on the apnea test

They put drivers in masks to help them sleep better, then put us in trucks that shake you awake when the opti idle shuts the truck off 3-6 times while your asleep. And if It decided to regen, then that's another hour your awake.

Did a physical upon entry to Crete. 6' 3" 290 lbs. Never had a sleep problem in my life. Filled out a questionnaire about sleep issues and scored a zero (lowest score). They did a sleep test anyway (because my neck was 17 1/2 inches) and even though I only got 12 minutes of stage three sleep due to the *severe* bedbugs, some doctor over Skype told me I had sleep apnea.

It's rediculous, but it's rediculousness that's already been appealed all the way to the Supreme Court and is now law.

There is no law on the books pertaining to that the Supreme Court ruled only that companies can decide what they want to do and frankly crate is just scamming on that because I guarantee they get to kick back on it
