exactly the pre emission motors could easily go a million miles plus.

 

I blame EGR, not the exhaust aftertreatment. Pumping all that soot back into the intake is just stupid. If given a choice, I'd take a DPF/SCR truck with no EGR over one with just EGR.

 

Well put a tube from your butt to your mouth and go for a jog. See how far ylu make it. Thats EGR. Plus longer oil changes destroy these engines.

 

Really curious how Dorthy , Pittsburg Powers 's EGR soot trap works out . Looks like a simple solution . Surprised it took 15 years to come up with it.

But which specific models are available?

For instance, i want a K-100 or pete 362. Are these available?

 

I don't believe KW or Peterbilt has produced a cabover class 8 truck for North America since the early 2000's. Don't see any listed on their websites anyways.
