Hazardous Materials Endorsement

Just give me a 12 k Amazon load and I'm good.

 

My Hazmat and tanker endorsements are worth about $25K extra income per year to me. I enjoy it. Case in point, today I ran 300 miles, paid $900 to the truck. 100 miles were loaded. Because I have those endorsements I was given the load in spite of the fact that four other drivers were ahead of me in line to get dispatched. They don't have the endorsements.

Get. The. Endorsements.

Apply. All they can do is turn you down.

 

At my flatbed company we haul hazmat roofing materials that are easy to secure and only require flammable 3 placards. Easy and pays 5 cents more per mile. I am glad I have mine.

 

My loads required 4 placards,I was taping them on in the pouring rain..they fell off..reapply..and repeat.

 

I haul nothing but hazmat, all day, every day. I've never gotten a ticket or singled out for being placarded. Just went through the scale on 74 outside Peoria with 42,000 lbs. and 8 placards, No problem. I guess your results may have varied.

 

Never had an issue with hauling hazmat.. even in CA. It's just a truck... Just do your job, do the whole job. and you'll be fine.

 

Were you actually "committed" by a court? Or did you just agree with the nice officers to go get an evaluation and treatment? It is the difference between the two that is relevant.

Only if you recognize this fact and exploit it to your advantage. Otherwise, it is just a couple more letters on your license.
