You might not want it in a few days, depending upon where it is parked...

You have a couple more feet of rain pending next couple of days for everything south and east of Austin all the way to the coast.

We have lost around 22% of our total daily refining capacity for the area for the time being. I expect gas prices to go up if they have not already. (Ive got a 25 gallon tank I only need to fill once every 18 months so it does not impact me as much as it might others...)

Im expecting most of Houston to flood once enough rains have filled the bayous and rivers and keep them full. That will begin today.

Good luck to those in the area. It wont be the first or last storm to deal with. All in all, it's a nice good storm and I think it's fortunate that it's fizzling out pretty well over land in a couple of days. Ive been through many a storm in my time I think that Harvey can go away and no one will be sad to see it go.

So my wife in Corpus said that the power went out yesterday and they will be without power for 3 - 7 days. I heard Rockport got hit directly. I read something online that they were advising residents of Rockport to write their social and name with a sharpie on their arm so rescuers can identify them.

Patrick Rios, the mayor pro tem in Rockport, told KIII-TV of Corpus Christi Friday that Harvey "is a life-threatening storm."

"He says those who stay "should make some type of preparation to mark their arm with a Sharpie pen," implying that they should make it easier for rescuers to identify them."

We on my sandbar say...good luck to you Texans in the path.

And..."I'm actually surprised the reporters are out in it and ppl driving. There was a guy tiding his motorcycle.." - Pattyj

No offense but you don't catch the weather channel or youtube during or after a hurricane eh? Cause idiots do this every storm. Here on my sandbar, we had a couple folks drown, cause they thought it'd be a brilliant idea to go surfing during a hurricane. (Sandy I think it was)

When the reporters come here they are out in the weather. A lot report from down at Hatteras which is usually always evacuated, an the roads get washed out. That idiot Jim Cantori is know for going out into the middle of the dunes to broadcast(When he was still doing storms) he's also a jerk in person. LOL People here on my sandbar hate him, cause he's a real dick in person.

Same with Al Roker. The happy fat guy thing is a myth. Haha.

Anyhow, good luck again to those in the path. As someone who deals with it just about every year, I know the "fun" your about to experience.

Not only is Cantori a jerk he is only about 4 1/2 feet tall. He has to stand on a box when he is on air. Lol
