While ats does dose big stuff I hear it takes a long time to move up. While that's not a bad thing I will slow your growth considerably. I was talking to a driver that came from ats to bulldog highway express(a daeske company). He was at ats for two years and they never moved him past a five axle setup. He came in with oversize experience too.
I would recommend Smokey Point Dist but you said you wanted good hometime. We are out a month at a time minimum but they run is hard. 12-13k per month is expected. So at least typically you aren't sitting on the weekends.
ATS or Maverick?

I appreciate the honorable mention
although I'm rather green to the flat side of trucking myself. I certainly wouldn't do any form of lease as has already been mentioned. I thought about going to ATS before I became an O/O but changed my mind and bought a truck instead. Between the two Maverick or ATS my pick would be a company job with ATS. Looks like some good advice has been given by others on here.... Good luck @TheBusker with wherever you decide to go.

I think you can do better than either of them. As far as the economy is concerned, it hits big companies just as hard a small ones

With any otr heavyhaul outfit, hes going to have to stay out a month or better. Especially if youre part of a big build project.
I would reccommend SPD too. World's less handholding.cke, Crusader66, johndeere4020 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I haven't. Would that entail other farm work like hoppers at harvest and whatnot?

great lead. thanks. looks like many of those companies require two or more years experience. understandable given their CSA scores.
