That would go along with the driver facing cameras coming in after the first of the year. Glad my retirement is only a few months away! Or today, I could go today........ I ain't gonna lie, that is a GREAT feeling!!!slim6596 Thanks this.

Are you sure they're driver facing cameras? We got cameras with Peoplenet and they are forward-facing only.
They tried DriveCams before I started here and didn't like them. -
Another update, took off the spring. Haven't heard the noise again yet. But i feel like i might have done something wrong with the install. I'll get pictures up later for you all to troubleshoot. It will either help other company drivers blow smoke in their cascadias or stop me from blowing out my radio, either is a good thing.
Also, glad I could start a peoplenet thread.
Thanks for your help again. -
That is what they say. They want them so they can enforce the cell phone policy. I haven't heard if there is any connection with our cameras and switching to people net. They are running the trials with the camera system now and we are still using the QualComm.

Good news: It stopped.
Bad news: It stopped because the window mount broke so I had to take down my antenna. Now I'm all ears and no mouth unless I want to blow the radio using the stock antenna. -
I just re-read through this thread to refresh my memory, and I realized I didn’t answer (and no one else did either) your question about cost of an alignment. I can’t answer that question since I work on my own radios. I would guess a by the book tx and rx alignment would be in the $40 ballpark, depending on the tech. I would suggest after you get your antenna fixed again, and use new coax (like rg-8x or lmr-240), and see if problem persist. If it’s still there than run a good power cable to the batteries if possible, and bypass the cb power posts inside the cab.QuietStorm Thanks this.

I have a similar problem with my cb radios in this Pete that I drive. It doesn’t matter which radio I use, but I get an extremely high noise level in my radio when I drive through small towns. I know it’s picking the noise up from these L.E.D. electronic store signs and of course these new stop lites. Basically I just turn my rf gain down some till I get through the towns. Not very convenient but I haven’t had time to try running power to the batteries yet to see if it fixes the noise problem.
QuietStorm Thanks this.
