You can never "turn it off" however once you drop the passenger side sun visor and pull curtains closed it will only be able to record sound and outward
-
this is the dumbest thing i have heard in a long time. like backlegsorethumb said. close the cab curtains and go to sleep. if the green light is on then smile. dont like the camera then quit
BackIsSore Thanks this. -
It's off when the truck is off. No lights, nothing. My truck isn't running when I'm in the sleeper. If I want the camera on, one turn of the key and it lights up ready for action.
It's only doing the usual recording and looping when the key is turned. Try recording an event when the truck is completely shut down. You can't. Don't believe the paranoia. I'm still here after 4 months of having one in my truck. -
My husband has one in his truck and it doesn't bother him at all. He talks to it when he deals with stupid drivers. LOL I thought he said something about turning it off when in the sleeper, but I am probably mistaken. Frankly, he just doesn't talk about it at all.

When you shut the truck off the camera is turned off. There is not a manual switch for on/off other than to record an event but the key has to be turned in the ignition.

It is not what he says but what he does....FI, touch his phone, look at it, dozing off, obscene gestures at other drivers, improper seat height or posture, not looking in mirrors properly, etc...has gotten many drivers in to hot water or DOA at the terminal
-
This is true for Walmart....but to advise drivers of other companies, there is a system out there that can be turned on by the company at any time without the driver knowing it...real big brother stuff...they should fin out before hiring on with these outfits...Puppuller 57 Thanks this.

They can turn it on whenever they want for all I care. I practice good driving habits and have no need to push myself and cut corners. When I'm on break or done working for the day the curtains are closed and it won't see anything. I'm ashamed to see how some of our drivers drive when I'm just in my personal vehicle passing our trucks and believe the cameras are needed to prevent future accidents.WallyWife Thanks this.
