They're expecting up to 8" of rain tonight and as you know that part of Louisiana is pissing in a puddle away from a flood. I-10 is currently open to Beaumont but they're getting a lot of rain and Houston is impassable. After you drop I'd recommend Amite City up 55 exit 46 then left 2 miles if you don't have clock left to go far. When you're coming back out of Walmart at the left turn back to 12 there's a really deep, frame deep, hole on the right that will be hidden under water.
I made it to Laredo running I-20 to Dallas as I planned. I probably won't get paid for the extra miles because the pos CSR refused to contact the customer for more money.

Ontario CA at the Petro. I am on the dedicated fleet now and have my new trailer with side box and headboard. But I'm still using the OTR truck after all on our fleet agreed that there's just far too much of a chance of not making it back and forth.
Our dedicated freight hasn't kicked in just yet, so we are doing jobsite delivery's until that happens. Still home every weekend, so that's a plus.
And of course we are in an arguing match with the Vegas dropyard to let us leave the rigs there. So till then so far the three of us who have managed to rally in Vegas are using the bloody TA as our base of operations. Since it's 12 miles from the bloody sheetrock plant. -
So I'm here at the Lathrop terminal for Qualcom issues.
They replaced both the 'black box' computer unit and the antenna because I had no connections.
A couple hours later... no connections again. So it will go back to the shop in the morning.
At this point I am thinking a bad ground connection or it is in the wiring itself.
And has anyone noticed...
Actually, you would have to watch some of the super hero shows like Supergirl or Legends...
They seem obsessed with lesbian and gay relationships these days. More on the lesbian side, though.
Are other show categories like that as well? -
Home, picking up drywall and booking to SLC in the morning.
I have noticed it in several genres Moose. Drama and sitcoms instantly come to mind, but thats been going on for a long time. Granted I'm far more into drama.
More recently Lucifer, which already breaks 1 major taboo, why not the rest of them (we get it, demons are hetreroflexiable.). And Sons of Anarchy even had a tranny love story. House M.D. made countless throw away scenes with the Bi chick. CSI and Law and order (gotta meet that episode quota some how.)
Cartoons do it, but then the Simpsons started taboo breaking in a big way in that genre. And any that fall into thier particular category, do it (family Guy, futurerama, American dad..etc.) -
I guess it is the 'new normal' now?
What will the 'new normal' be in another 30 years?
Scary thought, considering how tech advances. (and imaginations...)
I probably won't be around in 30 years, but I would love to see it.
Not happy being just male or female?
Let GenCorp help!
Now you can be both with our new and improved genetic engineering process.
Get that boy/girl friend of your dreams... to exactly match your newfound girl/boy body.
That would make for a great SciFi movie, I think.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
In the future go f yourself will be a greeting, not an insult.
FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
These planners are getting more stupid. I want them to tell me how to route from Port Allen, Louisiana to Laredo in 577 miles without commandeering a barge given current conditions.
-
Because the system automatically does the routing. Also more than likely, the system automatically put the plan on you. Planner had nothing to do with it.
Call your DM and ask to have the routing changed to compensate for the additional miles. If not, then give the load back and Swift can eat it on a company truck. -
We were told any load that has to detour around Houston would automatically have the mileage adjusted upon dispatch. My DM is trying to get me fixed up on the last load, Richmond to Laredo, that paid a whopping $43 to go through Dallas, less than half what it should be. I'm dispatched Laredo to Palmetto, GA and so far there's no extra miles shown.
BTW, you can identity a system planned load by the lack of a planner name, etc at the end of the dispatch notes.
Frank -
It was a planner load. Doesn't matter now, 10k to Georgia beats 40k to Laredo.
