The decision has been made, I will be reactivating my DOT and MC numbers around the first of the year. Time to step out on my own.

I am tired of handing over nearly 30% to a carrier who's head is up its ###.

I got sick of leasing on to bad carriers, went on my own, and haven't looked back. It was the best gift I ever gave to myself.

Why wait until the first of the year?

Best of luck to you! But remember, the amount you are handing over to brokers is always unknown. You can operate a phone find your own clients!!!!. Build a business, step out on your own for real not half way using brokers, they are not your business parter and only have their pockets to look out for. I wish you best of luck. Let us know how it works out.

I couldn't believe how low your average per mile rate is. I have to sit down and calculate mine. I have one run that has almost as much deadhead as loaded miles.

Best of luck. I did my own thing years ago, have my numbers parked at the DOT. I hope the insurance doesn't kill you. I ran reefer with my own authority, never with my SD, what I have now.

I'll be rooting for you. Keep us posted, maybe I'll jump back in the kool aid!
