Homosexuals were unexcepted for decades also. Now that's changed. Change trucking too. :biggrin_25526:

They still are, at least in most cases that I am aware of(even in the military--if you dont beleive it just ask somebody who is there or has been there since "dont ask dont tell". They dont have to do either--everybody knows who is who). Unless you live in California, where they will accept anything no matter what it is. So that is a stupid argument.

I Think I would Park the truck some place. disconnet the satalite and quomcal ect. Befor you move it. maybe you can us it for leverage on the company owners. But this what I would do and I get quite Krazy when someone does me wrong.

The reason I brought this 'contrast and compare' up is to counter statements by many who say trucking has always been the way it is, as if truck drivers will always have to put up with the crap they experiance at the hands of companies. :yes2557:

I guess my post might suggest homo's are exceptable in public to me. They are not. I'm just pointing out how something as unacceptable as homosexual's has become seemingly legitimate in our society, IE, homos getting married. (This is dispecable). My point is that if this kind of questionable behavior has come so far, then trucking can change to.

Sorry my contrast 'missed the mark'.

There is pretty much nothing you can do about it except file a claim in court against the company. Of course, then you will have to take off work to go to court, hire an attorney, ect. . .
My husband and I have had this same thing happen to us when we first started driving. Expedite Solutions still owes us somewhere in the neighborhood of 9000.00 and we have never received a cent from them.
These companys know drivers do not have the time or resources to do anything about their dishonesty so they prey on the un-suspecting drivers. Once they have drained all they can from a driver they move on to the next.

Thanks these are my thoughts. And it seems they get away with it constantly. This is a crime worse than theft and the government or lawyers for plaintiffs, if there were any, allow it to continue. In fact it seems to me that laws are put in place to protect the business's. Truckers should be able to abandon their trucks when companies rip them off. You lost $9,000.00 you should have been able to confiscated their truck until they pay. But know government and business wash each others hands.

Thanks for your post. I'm sure some company p*** will come along and blame you; which is intended to place doubt in peoples minds. :yes2557:

After watching the media this past few months I can't believe I am going to mention this & realize it is naive but... would a local media outlet be able to help? If a driver even begun his case & was willing to show/prove losses publicly & that this is common practice with "xyz trucking co." maybe things would change?

It would be a longshot at best, but no shipper is going to like to see a case where their selected transport company is pocketing their money stuffing the coffers while not paying the truck/driver(s).

Thanks MANNMK7. In some ways it is our fault. We should have checked the trucking industry out more thouroughly before jumping in. We should have made it a point to talk to other Expedite Solution drivers before driving for the company. (actually we did speak to a couple that told us Expedite Solutions was a rip-off, we thought they were disgruntled drivers) After driving for a reputable company it is hard to believe we were so gullible in the beginning. We should never have stayed with them for as long as we did hoping against hope things would magically get better. I think most of us take our lumps before we finally find our niche in the driving industry. Luckily, we are very happy now and making good money. Hopefully this poster will find their niche with a good company as well. There are many good and honest companys out there, drivers just have to take the lumps and bumps until they find one.
