No catches either. They just gave everybody a 2cpm raise, even newbies. I never drove a truck in my life and I'm bringing in 41cpm. Benefits start the day you are hired. Dental, vision, whatever you want, even a 401K somewhere in there. Paid training and room and board you get your own hotel room, no sharing! Good miles, home on time, every time.

Really a nice place to work, just wish their main hub was closer to the house but they let me take the truck home so I can't really complain. The dispatchers I have to deal with are very kind and considerate and understanding that I'm still new and yes, I do stupid #### and ask stupid questions. But with time, it's fewer and further between.

Ozark doesn't even have its own forum area, yet they have over 800 trucks. Not sure why so little is said about this company on this forum, but it's a great place to work. I walk in and they knew me by name, I kid you not.

100% no touch freight. Drop and hook only. The most you'll ever do is sweep out a trailer after a load of scrap paper.

Oh yea, all trucks are 65mph on the foot, 68 on the cruise. All trucks are freighliner cascadias, 2014 or newer with APU's and qualcomm with nav and they have 1500 watt inverters too so TV's even fridges and microwaves are not a problem. Most are automatics, but the newbies get the leftover standards. In time you do move up and will get an auto. Eventually the entire fleet will be auto. I'm one of the fastest trucks on the interstate, with mostly only owner operators ever passing me.

Almost nothing west of Dallas and Houston. No tire chains. Hiring area is basically the mississippi river east, but they will go further west if you're a good driver. 14 days on, 3 days off. 21 days on 5 days off. 28 days on, 7 days off. Your choice.

Well, we have many drivers making 30+ years. I had two trainers, they've been here 22 and 17 years, respectively and are quite happy.

I've been with them 3 months and its the same now as the day I started. Nothing has changed but I'll do a 6 month review in 3 months if you want.

You run as hard as you want. During training I was making almost 1000 a week at training pay. Do the math, 41 cents a mile times 3000 miles if you want to run that hard. That's starting out. The guys who have been here a while are doing .48 cpm.

Ozark has had several drivers retire as millionaires.

There are some very wealthy drivers in this company. In brand new trucks. So retiring with a million in the bank is not that hard to do.

I'm sure they're not the BEST company out there, but they certainly deserve some attention, especially considering what they pay drivers who are just starting out. How many companies start CDL grads at 41cpm with full bennies on day 1?

    3000*$0.48 = $1440
    $1,000,000/$1440 = ~694
    694/52 = 13

So in 13 years, if you save every penny and avoid paying any taxes/etc, while running 3000 miles EVERY SINGLE WEEK, you could bank a mil.

Your idea of hard and mine are are little different.
