Nalco owns 134 trucks and 58 trailers. Ozark owns 850 trucks and 10,000 trailers.
Fail. Try again. I said more than 1000, meaning the size of Ozark. And will Nalco do 41cpm for someone right out of CDL school? Will they even HIRE someone right out of CDL school?
Ozark Motor Lines, start at .41 cpm!

Nalco is a world wide company with 3300 trucks in the U.S. Alone. They pay by the hr not by the mile. And there trucks are at 75

Glad someone still gets excited about the poop platter. Don't want to squash this dude's enthusiasm, but let's hope it continues into his trucking future as far as he wants to take it. Will say you have a lot to learn and a long way to go, but your optimism tank sure is full. Stay awhile and take advice from the old hands instead of acting like you know it all after 3 months
supremegod, metallifreak10, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
I drove for Ozark back in 06 and 07. Trucks were governed at 70. Basic, not even power windows or locks. The mainly run FedEx, meaning overnight. I, too, pass Ozark like they are backing up. My company tractor is governed at "70". Sounds like ol Slick fell into the lie that slower governed tractors get better fuel milage. If you want better fuel milage, drive under 55 mph. That is max speed that aerodynamics work.
I wanted to go back to them, but, I got a much better offer. -
Do they still have the slick division?
-
Yes they do. And they have a fleet no older than 2014. My truck is one of the oldest and it's a 2014.
I never acted or said I know everything after 3 months, but I will say that I know more about my own company than some steering wheel holder whose never worked for this company. -
You seem to not understand there are more sources of income than just your job. Ever heard of stocks, investments? 13 years isn't much to make a million bucks, and in 35 years, yea you could easily end up with a million in the bank.
-
Yeah, OK, you are completely right. We definitely shouldn't be judging either your honesty or you own judgement here.
But for the sake of all of us lowly drivers, could you perhaps post your last 2 pay stubs so that we can all see what it looks like to be your way to a million dollar retirement at Ozark, please? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would be interested.
Thanks for your time, most knowledgeable one.Lonesome, drvrtech77 and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
Don't let these old farts get to you. You're doing fine for a new guy and for some unknown reason that bothers them. You know, they have backed more miles than you have driven going forward. Ask them, they'll tell you. They have this stupid idea that everyone must "pay their dues". If you're happy at your company that's all that matters.TheFriscoKid, Lonesome and redeye18 Thank this.
