Why would anyone even worry about it? In a disaster zone, the last thing they are going to look at is your paperwork or logs. They're just happy you showed up with what they need. Maybe, just maybe, if you crash and burn and make things worse, but otherwise, fuggeddabouddit.

Years ago a Montana scale house wrote several over weight tickets to fire fighting trucks while the entire state burned. A good officer never passes up to chance to book revenue. Even when federal tax dollars are going to pay the ticket.

Hmmm...a cursory Google query using the phrase "Montana troopers write tickets to fire trucks during fire," turned up a big fat nada, as did "Montana scales write tickets to fire trucks during wildfire disaster."

Edit: As an aside, my company delivers new fire trucks out of WI. Usually when we go thru scalehouses/tollbooths, they just smile and wave at us.

    Apparently you suck at Google.

As another aside, the dbags at the Haugen scales hassled me, and and others from my company quite a bit. But I moved out of Montana close to 15 years ago so I don't really care anymore.

    Edit....

The next time you roll through stop at the court house in Superior and ask to see their records. It would public information.

    My apologies, it was Idaho.

    Overweight fire tankers stopped, fined

Stick that in your pipe, or anywhere you see fit, and smoke it.

So things are crazy down here in florida. We've had state troopers escorting groups of fuel trucka down the interstate in the dayshift hours. You can tell which stations still have gas because there are lines for half a mile down the road of the station waiting to get fuel. I delivered to a station last night at about 9:30pm that was completely empty. By the time I finished dropping there was already a line a quarter mile down the road LOL. We are pretty much going to be running until every rack shuts down.
