Yessir. 101 over to 580. Backroads to stay north of LA and San Bernadino then 15/215 down to 10.
I wanted to see some of the sequoias. Went 580 to I5 then over to I99 down to Porterville then 190 east. Got to the edge of the park and found out the road ahead was closed due to fires. So back to Porterville then 65 south to I99 over to 138 to stay out of the cities.
Lots of fires and traffic in the south half. You were correct I prefer the north half of Cali.

*Disclaimer - I'm not anti-LEO*
One similarity is we still have cops getting away with illegal actions basically. Have you seen the latest video of the cop going after the nurse that knew the law better than he did? Why wasn't he arrested for battery and/or kidnapping on the spot, because he was in the wrong no doubt....oh yeah, he's a cop. IF he gets fired he'll just move to another police job somewhere else. The nonsense being purported that EVERY first responder is a "hero" isn't helping the cause either as far as I'm concerned.BoostedTeg, Eldiablo, cke and 9 others Thank this. -
There's a healthy part of the population that's douchebags: stands to reason they don't all accumulate in any one profession, but that they're spread out acrosst all of them.
That is a good reason I try not to make generalities: there's some good and some bad out of any group.PeteyFixAll, lester, cke and 14 others Thank this. -
I had the pleasure of delivering meat down there when that was going on. I managed to stay out of the fray, but one didn't necessarily stop at all red lights.cke, Razororange, 1951 ford and 11 others Thank this.

View from my office. That treeline is the banks of the Sunflower river. It's not a beautiful view but it's one you will never see from the big roadPeteyFixAll, Feedman, 7-UP and 13 others Thank this. -

You have took one helluva trip. You have added another place I will take Mrs. Wore out when I drop the wagon off this ol Pete for the last time and have our motor home conversation put on.
I know what everyone is thinking. But I don't wanna be THAT ol man in a million dollar motor home with the funny hat oversize sunglasses and kacky shorts. I wanna be the ol man when I ride by and puff a lil smoke on his ### he looks at his wife and says ain't he coolPeteyFixAll, BoostedTeg, sawmill and 14 others Thank this.
