Well, it's my last night at home. Seems like it's always over before it even gets started. I just tucked my truck in for the night and rocked her to sleep. I was in dire need of organization, so I went to Home Depot and Wallyworld and got busy. I store most of my stuff on the top bunk, and lock it down with the cargo net. I still have issues though with items committing suicide and jumping off the mattress when I'm going over long stretches of rough road. My laptop has hit the floor 3 times now, so it was time for a change. Hopefully it still works, I'm hesitant to check. I created a makeshift wall from some shelving boards to span the length of the top bunk and the cargo net will no longer be used. I also bought a few storage bins to place behind my new wall for clothes, food, and all manner of kitchenware. I also made a comfy llittle spot for my laptop and a couple other delicate items. Hopefully this will do the trick. If nothing else, it's a lot less cluttered and I don't look like a hoarder anymore lol :D It hasn't exactly been a relaxing trip home, but it was very productive. Tonight will be the first real stretch of sleep I've had here, so I'm gonna go get to it. Hope y'all are doing well. Be safe out there in Truckerland. Keep the rubber side down and all that. I'll be joining you guys in the rat race tomorrow. Peace y'all.

@Shock Therapy I played that song you posted to my wife and a few other folks. We agree with you, that kid is a dead ringer for Robert Plant. It's almost spooky.

Wassup everyone. Tonight I'm in Merrillville, Indiana. Walmart is home for the night. I was given a Smuckers load this morning, as per usual. But this time I'm not heading to Georgia, which is weird. This load is heading to University Park, Illinois. The delivery window is tomorrow between 12am and 8pm but Opie said it can get dropped whenever I get there 24/7. I could very easily have done that tonight but I would've had a parking problem. I can't park at the final, and even though there are truck stops close it's a guarantee that they'd be full after my dnh. I'm not starting this trip off by paying for parking, so I just parked here. I'm only 40 miles away, so it won't be a big time loss tomorrow. I'm gonna try and time my arrival for 7am. By the time I am done swapping trailers, Opie will be in and at his desk. I fired my laptop up after I parked and was extremely happy to see that it's still functional. That poor thing has been through a lot in this truck in the last year. My new setup in the truck is keeping it safe, and it's nice to see that it's serving it's purpose well. It's a little harder to access my stuff, but that's a small price to pay for peace of mind. I'll take it. I don't have a whole lot to report, it was a pretty mellow day. Traffic was good for the most part, and the rain stayed away. It definitely wasn't a long day, but no complaints about that. It's nice to ease back in after a trip home. Especially one as hectic as this one was. Well guys, that's all I got for today. I hope all of you had a good day today. I'll talk at ya tomorrow. Be safe out there and keep the rubber side down. Until tomorrow, peace y'all.

Cool. I'm not 100% sure I'll be there but it's very likely.

A link to it would be ok. Just don't embed it if it has bad language.

This may or may not be your speed, but I certainly like The Sundays' version of Wild Horses better than the original.
