He's definitely a rookie. Why in the world would you, as a COMPANY DRIVER, be bragging about taking FEMA loads anywhere??!! Heck, it's not like you're making sooo much more money than your fellow company drivers. Some people just like hearing themselves talk.

I won't drop my trailer for rookie US express drives to pull into disaster zones for $200 a day. No thank you.

I am hoping and praying that hurricane Iram does not hit the US, but if it does, I will help out for $6 dollars a mile. (Plus $1200 a day detention)

Been down here in the Houston San Anotonio are almost two weeks now. Brought my first water loads down from Hawkins to Houston right before the storm hit. Rates started out great anywhere from 4 to 10 dpm. Then bottom feeder brokers started grabbing these loads and the rates went down below 4 and good luck finding a load out. Best to sit. Some of the water plants like the one in Pasadena shut down for a bit. That made things harder to get back to San Antonio where freight was going back to Houston. Some of the hardest hit areas like Rockport and Corpus. You'd think those would be great rates. They are not. 2dpm. I've been lucky up until my current load and have not had to sit. Im outside of the Coca Cola plant in Houston now. Been here around 30 hours to deliver. Still not in the gate. Is there freight? Yes. Will there be a lot more freight needed? Yes. Is it worth it? Idunno. I'm thinking of heading home after this one

Does anyone know when running female loads do we have to keep a log since we don't have to go into the scales?

    Glad you clarified that. :p

Yes, keep a log. You need to indicate on the log that you are hauling disaster relief.
