It may be worth the extra effort to spread some bags of Portland cement into your layers of dirt as you compact...idk.

We built a parking lot once for oilfield tankers and we mixed Portland cement into the top layer of 2a limestone, it really compacted into a nice lot.

Not sure if that theory would work with dirt though, honestly.

Thanks, it is a 1969 case 580 construction king. It's been around the farm for many years. Works good in tight spots and handy as heck.

Well I'm empty in the Keystone, pull around to the other side and shut'er down till morning. Load it back up in the morning and start ride'n and guide'n back the other way. Y'all stay safe out there!

 

That always looks like way too much work to me. I guess if you only have to move a couple panels it's not so bad but if you have to move the whole thing it seems like it would be much easier to just tarp it.

 

That's what I always thought... I hated covered wagon.

Where I'm at in Eastern Pa it's required to dig a Footer 36" deep then Pour Ur Concrete with a "J" Bolt set in Top of the Concrete, this Bolt is then attached to the 4"×4" with a Simpson Positive Tiedown Bracket.

In @SAR's case, when "Trenching " instead of digging of Digging individual Footer Holes we are required to use Sonotubes as a Form for the Concrete.
