Why didn't you call the trailer company and have them derate it to 12,000 and then you be at the 26,000.
Trailer company's do this all the time...
Usally cost 75.00....

I bet the guy checked the door sticker VIN against what was on the truck registration. Wonder what the ticket for VIN tamering is?

 

Another one and done?? Maybe didn't like the answers?? I didn't want to be harsh...but alot of guys shed alot of blood, sweat and tears and time into getting a CDL and learning their trade. Wether it be bumping docks or hauling cars, flat bed, RGN or any other type of hauling and for someone to come on here where there are all of these professionals who put in the work day in and day out trying to stay compliant and productive... Well I just don't have much sympathy! He obviously knew what he was doing and deserves what he gets! It's one thing to make a mistake trying to get your stuff right but blatantly falsifying a door tag?? That is probably what made the Bear mad and made him impound it!

 

Poor guy probably wishes he hadn't posted here now. When I read this earlier today, I knew he was going to get flamed! Now just if the pickups I see down south being pushed by the 4,5 and 6 car trailers make their way to OH they will be next!

 

And we wonder why rates are bad.

This type of thing has been happening alot on the east coast. It's actually been nice not having to worry about DOT. They are too busy with every dually pulling a trailer they can find. Apparently they have caught on to it. The reality is he deserves to get flamed. Stickers on a mattress are one thing......

 

Oh ####, I hope the mattress police don't get to Kansas!!!

 

In my state vin tampering is a criminal offense.
