Who went to Texas in the last few days?
Who is going to? Is it worth going there?
How is the pay? What about loads out there? Are there any???
Any comments will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Would like to know about flatbed loads leaving as well. Anyone have any info on how busy the truck stops are?
-
I'm heading to Texas Monday. Fort Worth to be exact. The rate is over two dollars a mile. Good freight in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Freeways are good to go as well. If you are a Flatbedder, and can't find a load out of that area, you're in the wrong industry.

I took my flatbed to Texas twice last week it was just business as usual
of course I don't go near the effected areas haven't for several years now
Can't speak to what is on the load boards since I don't deal with them -
Houston last Monday very wet. Back to Houston Thursday very dry load my van easy with good paying freight both times I

Thanks for your feed back! Worried about parking as well. I figure many from down south might be finding places to park for awhile. Thanks for the updates!

Are any of the Houston area truck stops open ?
Last I heard I'll be leaving out tomorrow or sometime soon with a FEMA load.
Thankswore out Thanks this. -
I just delivered a flatbed load in Houston today. I looked at the load boards, trying to get something worth my time to head back in the general direction of OKC (home base). Nothing paid worth a ####. Fortunately my dispatch found a load picking up just below the OK/TX border going to OKC that pays more than loads from Houston area to OKC.

How were the truck stops?

I didn't stay in the city. I shut down northbound about an hour north of Houston. The lot is pretty full at 3:00 pm.
Passed a two mile long convoy of what I think were National Guard and FEMA trailers headed south on I-45 in the morning. Electronic signs still note that I-10 eastbound is closed.
