Yeah im kinda the same way. I have a lowboy and 2 drop decks setting around. Every time I look at them I get the itch. I really enjoy what I do, but my roots is trailer truckin with a flatbed, dropdeck or RGN. I do a little side open deck work every now and again, but not often anymore.

Sucks about a new truck being infested and prolly smelling to high hell of mouse piss

Got seat # 2 in today.

While I had the old seat out I thought it be a good time to change the shift stick boot cause it was torn. As I'm changing that out I look down at the shift tower and see the isolator is shot that connects to the stick. It's been getting bad lately cause when you go shift 4th or 11th you end up slamming your fingers in the dash.

So out comes the stick and shift tower so I can work on getting the seized pin out that holds it together and off to town for parts.

I ended up buying a new shift tower and welded on a tube to the stick that holds the new isolater.

These dam trucks I tell ya every time I look at them there's something broke. Oh and I found a exhaust leak right above the tranny, lovely place to fit in and work. Gotta love truckin!

He said the worst part was having them crawl up along his legs while he was trying to sleep.

So I haven't really hauled any oversize since I bought my own truck. I found a blinky light on sale at a truck stop about a year ago and it's sitting in the shop. With the 2 lights I got when I purchased my used headache rack package along with banners and flags. My dispatcher/ wife is always on my case about getting them instaled on the truck.

I get home today and there is a employee write up on the table about not following company direction or something? Something about not cooking anymore?..........

So I signed it "Bugs Bunny"

I wonder how that will work out?
