Rates to Florida are almost doubled on some loads, which means they will pay about what they should to begin with. These brokers so amaze me. What is more amazing, is which amongst of you will be dumb enough to take a load down there right now?

Don't forget to bring lots of water, food, and a bucket to #### in if you're going to Florida.
Snailexpress Thanks this. -
how about now? dumb to go down there for almost $4/mile?
-
That depends. $4/mile in sounds great, but with $0/mile back out, where does that leave you? Suppose you need fuel, which is in short supply down there, you're going to be paying more for it, too. How much are you going to be paid to sit & wait if they aren't able to unload you for a few days? There is more to consider than just what it pays going in.Broke Down 69, TallJoe, Dave_in_AZ and 2 others Thank this.
-
I doubt you're even CLOSE to what I'd need to even THINK about going down there right now.
Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
$6/mile PLUS $1000/day layover WITH a room at the Holiday Inn Express (or nicer) for each night away from home. If you could do that, I might think about it. Still probably wouldn't be worth my time though.Broke Down 69 and QuietStorm Thank this.
