Just curios is lumpers get higher rates too?

 

This storm scares me, I'm going to Alaska to get away from it.

That depends. $4/mile in sounds great, but with $0/mile back out, where does that leave you? Suppose you need fuel, which is in short supply down there, you're going to be paying more for it, too. How much are you going to be paid to sit & wait if they aren't able to unload you for a few days? There is more to consider than just what it pays going in.

 

I doubt you're even CLOSE to what I'd need to even THINK about going down there right now.

 

$6/mile PLUS $1000/day layover WITH a room at the Holiday Inn Express (or nicer) for each night away from home. If you could do that, I might think about it. Still probably wouldn't be worth my time though.
