CAT wont do a 7CZ flash on it, theres a guy on this site, DDS PM him as CAT will still charge you $900 for a 550hp flash, this guy can do anything you want to the ecm. Hes in canada too..... I dont think CAT would put those trim codes in for you unless you told them those are the codes on the injectors and they believed you.

i cant seem to pm this guy. something to do w/ 25 posts or something.? what kind of diff am i going to notice w/ manifold, ecm and boost/fuel temp harness? Originally was doing this to avoid another $6000 turbo job in 2 yrs but am realizing there is lots of hp and economy to be had as well by the sounds of it...

Seen guys with 550hp 6NZ motors with manifold, fuel and boost wire, and the old 5232 codes to 575-590whp...... Thats wheel hp. Stock ones do 480-505hp. My 525hp bridge was a freak and laid down 517hp stock.
Forgot theres a minimum post count required to PM, so just go on a posting spree and PM him later

was this w/ a stock turbo still? wow 517 stock mbn, thats excellent. and hopefully these mods will make my turbos last a little longer. lol. i should do a pull or two to get a baseline before i start changing things up. I think this is going to be more fun than i thought. im also guessing its going to smoke some but doesnt seem to be a big deal up here. nothing wrong w/ a little smoke

Yeah stock 550 turbos, might get better with a better flowing turbo. Its a TON of fun! Just its an addiction and ends up costing you $$$ because once you start you cant stop.
Im going to dyno mine tomorrow, i have a feeling that the higher compression of the MBN motor will make some more power in the end. -
you still running the stock mbn cam? its a weak link isnt it? i think ill just do the ecm, manifold and harnesses... try to keep my spending low...i hope.lol

7CZ cam, part number is for a 800hp marine 3406E but also crosses into 600hp C-16. It has more lift than the MBN cam. I really dont think id see that much of a loss with a MBN cam, maybe 20-30hp. Like i said my MBN made 517hp stock, most 550hp 6NZs wont do that. I think the compression is helping it out a little.
I have a 1000hp marine cam, more lift and duration than 800hp cam, i just dont feel like putting it in now, i want to see what it does with this cam then once i swap it ill dyno with the bigger cam. -
hey 550 if you are still on check out this j-ball elctronics on ebay. he has ecms for sale that he claims he can re-program hp uprates etc. not sure how hes doing this. i typed in caterpillar ecm in the searh on ebay. hes got his ad there... let me know what you think.

The one he has is a 40pin ecm, it wont work on anything late 99 and newer. The one on your truck is a 70 pin.
Nevermind saw he has a 70 pin for $999, fromw hat he says its a 500hp ecm. They can be had cheaper for that, id offer $600 and see if he takes it.
