Heading South again, back to Charlotte and Rock Hill

It's Monday...

First load rejected take it somewhere else. Get dumped and tarp won't close. Ran home and figured out the relay module in the controller was the culprit. Called Timpte...that's three years old it's discontinued have to send you the upgrade controller for the low price of 350. Can you next day it. Well that's a problem since I don't have one. Can you direct ship it from thunderstone. Don't know have to call.

In the meantime I call thunderstone and start chatting with tech support. Can I buy just the relay module. Nope don't stock them anymore. Told him I was just wanting to use it for a backup. He scrounged around threw his junkpile is sending me and good used one free. Can't beat that.

Took the bolt out of the motor and got the rusted up handle unstuck and beat on. Guess I'll hand crank it till the parts arrive.

Good news is my firestick just showed up so I can watch kodi on the TV in the truck instead of my tablet.

The excavator worked slick as heck getting it into place.

 

Looks great, a nice place to hang out for sure.

The adventure continues...

I decide to see if I could get another load on. My boy is just pulling out...half a hopper left in the bin...Don's in the bin. This old fella we're helping out is pretty good sized...around eighty years old...and had a hip fused as a kid. Needless to say he doesn't get around well. I get backed in, fire up the vac and crawl in the bin. We get it cleaned up...he pushes the hose around for me with his walking stick.

Pull up and get everything tore down and get the old boy up in the tractor to switch bins. Kid gets back and we get everything hooked up. Open the center draw and get nothing.... Open side draw and get a trickle....not good. After messing with it for awhile we decide we're gonna have to pull the plate off the door and make a mess if we're gonna get it out.

Kid and I pull the vac out of the tube and out pops a plastic coffee can about the size of the tube. Don has no idea how that got in there. Hook back up and finish filling my front hopper. Tell them to cut it so I can move up. Come back around and the kid is laying under the vac... Broke a shear bolt. Get it replaced and empty the auger to check for debris. Nothing....bump the pto and the belts are squealing. Don folds down the auger and at the first joint is a pair of jeans wrapped around the auger. I look at Don and he's just shaking his head. I ask what else we gonna pull out of this bin....He says I don't know but if we find a wallet we're all three going to town...


Four hours later I'm back home...I'll take this load down in the morning.
