New truck owner here. I just bought a 98 KW w900. the steering wheel feels loose and I want to make sure it is bolted on all the way. However I can't get the horn button off to check and see. I know this sounds like a stupid question but do you guys have any tricks to getting this off?
It has a wood grain/chrome steering wheel and I have been trying to figure this out for hours LOL.......

An angled pick?

I've tried using a small pocket screwdriver and the tip broke off wedged in between. The horn button just fits so tight I can't get anything in there to pry it out

A picture of it may help, but the nut is behind that horn button.
Maybe something a little sturdier, and pointy. -
Here is a picture of it:

Where are you trying to pry? It looks like its a cap, not a center insert.
tucker Thanks this. -
Figured the ######## out. Wasn't prying in correct spot. About drilled a hole thru the center cap I was so worked up ha! Thanks for the help

Steering wheel minus horn 'cap'
What you're trying to remove
Pry on the side, not the top -

Anyone ever replace the steering wheel on an old truck, like a 1984 International CabOver?? Should be pretty simple right? It's got a big steering wheel on it now and it don't need it. The thing steers super easy and I want a smaller steering wheel.
