Are there any tanker companies for owner-operator (w/authority) that don't pull your DAC/Hireright? My driving record is clean but I have an abandonment on my dac from when my company refused to get me to the terminal after i gave them my 2 week notice and told them I was leaving for another job. They kept me out there a month after I gave them my notice. Finally, I got tired and just deadheaded in but they hit me with an abandonment because i clicked "yes, i agree to pick up this load" and then didnt.
Also, do most o/o tanker companies require tanker experience? I only have about a month of tanker experience. The rest is reefer/dry van.
I've searched plenty of sites but can't find info on this topic. Maybe I'm not entering the right search terms. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't think they can charge you with abandoment if you returned the truck to a company yard. If you quit while under dispatch, then I believe that's what the DAC report should have said. Contest it. Make them prove it.
Also explain the situation to any potential employers. Show them your logs showing when you have the notice you were quiting and that you did bring the truck back to the yard -
Wait, I wasn't thinking. You have your own truck or will lease one from whatever company you go with? I'm actually not sure how and O/O would handle it. I mean it's your truck, so you really can't abandon yourself , right?

Hey, the dispatcher is saying I abandoned the load, not the truck. Im not even sure if thats a real thing or he's just messing with me but I plan to talk to my lawyer about it.
I was saving up to get my own authority and branch out on my own, and ive recently decided to use this crap as the extra push I need.
Just curious if there are any o/o companies that dont pull DAC. Ive already applied for my own authority and i got an approval with a dealership for a newish truck. Just need a o/o company that doesnt care about DAC; otherwise, all of my loads will be from load boards until i can get a few solid contracts. -
Oh, ok, load abandonment, gotcha. I honestly don't know about the DAC thing. Sorry
Rachav Thanks this.
