I'd like to see a 4 axle jeep and 6 axle dolly.

I've never heard of such a critter either JD...

To the OP, not nearly enough info to offer any reasonable options.

6 axle bridge beam dollys are pretty common. Not sure about a 4 axle keep. Could always mount a dolly plate on a turntable to a 4 axle RGN.

14x14x8 I think was the measurement. My friend is just trying to figure out how big the truck might be and how to get it through their parking lot. This area of trucking is no where near my expertise but I find it very interesting. I really like reading about it on here and learning even if I have no plans to do it. I respect the men who do it well.

Those would be completely useless for what we're talking about.

After calculating if you could use dolly setup you will need to use 8 axle dolly or 16 total axles on the ground like in video. The video says it was hauling 226k, so that is about right...assuming you get good weight on a quad. Here in OK you can't get crap on a quad typically, BUT if you go around the state for permits and call the bridge engineers, depending on your route, spacings, group spreads, they would give you 80k on a quad. They are certified to sell you an OK permit. Be a lot more money though

Something doesn't add up here, it's a "plate" which could mean block since it will be machined. But 14' X 14' X 8' @105,000 only comes out to about 67 pound per cubic foot.

How do you plan on getting a 14' long piece of steel on that setup?

Oxbow, SAR, cnsper and 3 others Thank this.
