Ok guys, thanks for all the help so far! I'm almost done with CDL school. Trying to really narrow down the list...
TMC sticks out to me because, I want a little labor vs sitting in the truck all day. I want to drive a standard, at least for a little bit so I can get very comfortable with it.. And I do want good home time...
Abilene/freymiller seems great, but I think they are all automatics. out for weeks at a time. And almost no physical activity..
With all these companies, reviews seem more good than bad..
Any further advice? Thanks everyone!
Possibly going TMC.. advice?

I have one word of advice for you. RUN AWAY!!! They micromanage everything you do and treat people like crap. I worked for them.

I would say read the TMC threads then make your own decision. They do control your every movement , however you are moving their freight. I was treated well for the five years I worked there. I didn't like the way they did some things but I was in their was their sand box. If you can think on your own then they might be a good fix for you. Being fresh out of school you won't have many choices. And they do have automatics along with manuals.

TMC is a good company to work for, Yes they have lots of rules, and micro mannage a bit, but excelent training, hometime and pay. I have been here for almost 5 years and they can be over bearing with rules, and such, but the paycheck is allways good, and we get home everyweekend!

Weekends, that's a joke. Don't consider barely being home for a day a weekend.

Well, I think it's happening! Been in contact with them and they told me a start date.. As far as home time goes, they seem better than most.
Also I'm just starting out, so my choices are limited, but TMC stuck out to me. And as @Hsauer87 pointed out, there training seems great..
If I don't like it, after a little time I'll find something else..
In the mean time, I'm excited!Highway Sailor Thanks this. -
Tell them the truth with everything they ask, and don't act like an idiot or show off and you will be fine.
