Our last house had vinyl siding and when it was really windy out we could hear the siding slapping the house and drove us nuts. I'm not sure if it was installed correctly or what the deal was. It was a manufactured home by the way.

It is getting real tough to find good help anymore around here and what some farmers are doing every year is hire South Africans.

I'm not sure how it all works but they get them sometime in March and they go back in November or December. Some farmers get lucky and get the same ones back every year.

I'm sure you could find someone to hire you to help during the busy season if their desperate enough for help.

A story about a horse and a cow...

My dad's responsibility growing up was to get the cow out of the pasture every morning and bring it to the barn and milk it. Well....my aunt bought a horse and kept it at my grandparents. The horse and the cow got to be buddies. Dad would get the cow up to the barn and that horse would take off for the back forty...and the cow would go with it. That happened twice.

After that my aunt would come down every weekend and pick the buckshot out of his butt.

I rode that horse as a youngin.... Every so often ol' smokey would get in the hay field. Dad would go to the house and get the shotgun...didn't even half to load it......

Looks good. Are those osb boards that came with the package for the shelving?

We purchased a shelving rack similar to yours but the boards that came with ours was some soft wood and if we placed heavy items on the boards it would bow over time. We ended up cutting new boards and replacing them.

Yours looks like they will hold up well.

I don't believe that was probably a determining factor.

I know it wasn't with us....you just hope the tax assessor doesn't look to close.

I didn't think so either. With the R-value of the insulation he used, plus what he has on his roof, the reduced heating and cooling bills alone would be a big attraction.
