i-shift problem ,help please

Note: Before reprogramming the Ecu(s) i forgot to tell you the starter relay (bolted on the started) need to be an original because the relay coil resistance value is a part of Engine ECU calculation before turning the grounding circuit ON.

Also if it can help you use truck serial number 490270 (Volvo 2008 with D-13 engine and manual transmission 13 speed from factory as reference purpose for Eecu(s))
It can be helpfull for Volvo Mainframe transition to match your request about reprogramming.
In the VECU K-Factor (parameter) for output shaft speed calculation for the I-Shift transmission use 6 pulses per turn and a Fuller manual transmission use 16 pulses per turn to have the speedometer and cruise control functionnality. (clutch switch will need to be install)

thanks for the info, ran into a lil problem at Volvo dealer was denied permission by Volvo HQ to program my truck with manual parameters as per their policy...hahaha. So am sending ecm to an aftermarket shop to handle that part...

Yes project finished have taken truck OTR around the OHIO area and back the past 2weeks, working on cruise and jake brakes, thats the only issues left else everything is okay. Project took longer because we were learning as we go but proper project time should be about a week or less depening on how busy the shop is

 

Hello there, got a question...
Have been waiting on the correct transmission harness($45) from volvo to arrive on order. Well i don't have cruise and jake brakes, is there a relationship between the two with the speed sensor....When I connect the harness am assuming i should get the speedometer, cruise , jake to work. Is that correct?

 

Hi, the first common part for the Cruise and the Engine brake operation is the clutch switch, did you install one ?
Both cruise and engine brake need speedo input to work propelly.
Also on Volvo engine for the engine brake (VEB) operation the Ecu should read a minimum of 2 mile per hour on the speedo circuit to turn On the engine brake functionnality.
Note: I shift transmission and Fuller manual transmission didn't use the same value of speed sensor resistance and pin out, this value is store inside of the VECU.

make sure you check all codes including engine system check plugs on side wiring harness on motor and plugs on gearbox unplug them and spray ratpiss in them
