That makes no sense. I can pull into a shipper with a set of B-trains, get loaded and strapped in 30-45 minutes. My company has defined minimums for loading/unloading and tarping/untarping on paper logs, but they tell us to log that "as it happens" on elogs.

It makes perfect sense.
While some can load fairly quickly. Most will have you there for awhile. And if you habe to tarp. That can be pretty time consuming. Depending on the load and weather. -
Dry bulk tankers can take an hour and a half or more to unload depending upon the product and the driver is supposed to be babysitting the operation the whole time

My current gig, I am frequently at a customer for over an hour depending upon what I'm doing. Delivering a frac tank and berm (containment system) takes about 90 minutes unless I have help. Picking them up takes longer because I have to inspect everything prior to loading it. Even delivering or picking up roll off boxes can take nearly an hour if I have to deliver, inspect and pick up. We haul 2 at a time so it can be time consuming, but I'm hourly so I'm good with it.snowwy Thanks this. -
I've been saying that for years now, but nobody wants to here it. Even got banned from a couple popular anti-eld's pages on Facebook, assuming because it made so much sense their brains exploded trying to comprehend not working for free and that piece-meal garbageSlowPoke44magnum, G13Tomcat and snowwy Thank this. -
I got pooched the other day with our system (E-ROAD). I was nearly out of my 14, unloading in Fremont CA. Since it won't "click" to driving unless I exceed 5 mph, the Grand Master Plan was to crawl out when I finished to the legal street parking right outside their gate, complete with a roach coach. I was heading home to Fresno(after a quick 10 off)for home time after the unload, and was over 5 hours into my 10 when I pulled out of the dock. Then . . . going straight out the gate, the 2nd axle/first drive axle dips into the gutter/sidewalk and WHEELSPIN tripped me onto "driving." My 10 had to start all over! Arghhhh!
G13Tomcat Thanks this.
