Oh that is a bummer! Diesel will give me a SPLITTING headache as well. I couldn't have done it. Now, I HAVE put the nozzle in and the #### thing pop out and diesel all over...diesel is VERY slick as well! I am surprised you could even control the truck! Sorry to hear that man. I have had it all over though myself. I felt like a complete moron, LOL. I almost fell one time trying to hurry up and get that darn nozzle shut off...would've been a good video for one of those TV shows, LOL.
Fueled the cab how embarassing

In a related story stright from our news room! Mine wasn't fuel it was oil! now before you ask me how oil got in the cab, I'll explain. The oil line to the oil pressure gauge started leaking, before I knew it the rubber mat was covered. was comming out under the dash and dripping down the brake and clutch pedals. Got the mess on the floor cleaned up. but couldn't do much about the leak at the time. called the boss, told him, and made it home. fun shifting with the arch of your foot instead of the ball of foot, kept slipping off. to make a long story longer, had to put cheap carpet down, had soaked clear thru the factory stuff and into the sub-flooring. To this day(four months later) I still have to pull the cheap stuff out and throw it away and replace it

I see other drivers recommending to bungee strap the nozzles to the tank. Well, I'm here to tell you that don't always work. Read my experience about it here. -
I read in the newspaper recently about a delivery of fuel oil to a home. The driver showed up at the house and proceeded to fill up the tank that was in the basement with 500 gallons from the outside fill tube. The driver never confirmed the address and no one was home at the time of delivery. He had the wrong home. The owners of the home had recently switched to a different heating system and removed the tank in the basement but left the fill pipe intact.500 gallons went into the basement minus the tank. They are staying at a hotel provided by the fuel oil company but the health department has ruled the house uninhabitable.I wonder why?

To be honest, I never gave it a thought.. other than thinking "driver must be in attendance" means he's not supposed to go inside the store while pumping fuel. Next time (if there ever is one) I fuel.. well, I'll at least think about it. Won't promise to not hit both sides at once, though.
Here's a question... why not have both fill tubes on the same side of the truck? It's certainly not a space issue - either on the truck or at the station. You could still easily fill both at the same time...
