I was in the sixth grade and my new next door neighbor moves in his 63 split window vette. He took me for a ride in it once. Never ever forget that. Ever. Of course this was in 1964 so it wasnt a big deal back then as far as collectible cars go....

    Always wanted a Mako.

I've often pondered the scenario of the classic Beach Boys song "Shut Down", the story of a race between a fuel injected Stingray and a 413 Super Stock Dodge. The song seems to end implying that the Stingray won the race, but I just can't picture that with the dominating history of the Dodges in that era. Thoughts?

The 63 Sting Ray was a direct response to the E-Jags and touring Ferraris.

Vintage Vettes--I'll take mine as a 72 coupe, Donnybrook Green with Biscuit interior, 327 horse 350 backed by the Muncie M21 "Rock Crusher" 4-speed manual, with 3:55 limited slip rear end.

I'll add the fuel injection and MSD ignition, mild street cam (tuned together with the EFI and Bow Tie heads), full Borla exhaust (complete with headers and crossover), full Hotchkiss suspension with polygraphite bushings, tubular control arms and coilovers with progressive rate springs in front and out back (requires removing the transverse leaf setup), and Wilwood brakes with stainless steel braided lines. Oh, and shock tower bracing front and rear with subframe connectors to keep everything lined up nicely.

Add a set of nice wide Torque Thrust or Optima wheels to take full advantage of the beefed up chassis, and don't forget the Centerforce Dual Fiction clutch to make the most of the extra power.

...As long as I'm dreaming I'd also like a couple weeks on an isolated but well provisioned Tropical island paradise with Scarlett Johanssen.

Not to nitpick, but I think the trans code is M20. Sorry. It's the parts guy in me coming out.

Nice dream, sounds like a pretty sweet ride. I would probably do a few things differently, but it's your dream and I'm not here to squash it.

As long as we are dreaming...my current dream car is a 65 Dodge Coronet 500 2 door hardtop (the 2 door post car had a different roof line), factory gold color with a white painted roof like the one I used to own way back when.

I want to get a wrecked Hellcat Challenger and completely gut the entire car of everything electronic and swap it into the Coronet. Or Another alternative, I recently saw a project/build where someone pulled the body off a Hellcat and swapped on the body of a 68 Charger. Not sure which way would be easier, but either way I'm driving off into the sunset in a Hellcat Coronet 500 with Sandra Bullock sitting next to me.

I think Gas Monkey did a body swap similar to what you're describing.

A powertrain and electronics transfer would likely be a nightmare of chassis upgrades, and making the dashboard work (analog guages vs digital component outputs).

Also creating a module to fool the Hellcat into thinking all airbags are there and working (it won't run otherwise).

All that aside, a Hellcat powered Coroner 500 would be one H3LL of a street bruiser!

(Politely escorting Sandra Bullock from the passenger seat, installing a very randy Scarlett Johanssen)

    (You're welcome)

Smart Fortwo. Black on black. Brabus body kit. HRE wheels with Pirelli P Zero Asymmetrico rubber.

Hyabusa turbo power, backed by sequential 6-speed and limited slip differential.

    (Hey, nobody would steal it....)
