Temperature controlled division

    Hello guys im getting ready to graduate and i am looking at joining mavericks reefer division out of Jackson Mississippi. The other option is a schneider Georgia Pacific account out of Pennington. Those are my top two any advice

    The dedicated account out of Pennington will be quite different than the Temp Control Division in that it is flatbed. My choice would be the Pennington account, you will be visiting shippers and receivers repeatedly and will be more comfortable because you know them. The TCD division will likely cover a much larger area geographically. You will get home more with the Pennington account. Maverick's dedicated operations are the way to go if you live in the right spot to get one. I'm currently on the Indiana dedicated account and bounce back and forth between boats and a large lumber retailer distribution center. Also, many drivers shy away from flatbed because they perceive it as more work. This is the wrong perception. The work gets you out of the truck and keeps you nimble.
