Hi guy's. I just did a in frame rebuild on my truck. The mechanic that took apart the engine. Was different from the one that put it together. When i drove it. It barely went a mile. Before black smoke happened. And i barely was able to get truck back to where i started. My question is if a temperature sensor that threads into my egr. And clips on to my throttle control. Is missing. Not installed on the truck. Could that have made my constant valve control not work properly?

Your egr temp sensor and constant throttle valves should have no correlation.

I was wrong. It is a temperature sensor that threads into the egr. And clips to the constant throttle control valve
