How many Germans does it take to change a lightbulb?
One. We are ultra-efficient and don't have a sense of humour.
How much is a brand new truck in Europe and Australia?

America is starting to become 3rd wolrd country, the us military is actually controlled by another country (Israel), the general education is in the lowest level ever, producing only dump people .....

Funny how backwards we are here in the US its been about 100 years plus of the rest of the world playing catchup to the USA.
Some area's ....yes.
Some.....no.
And China is doing a cheaper job of it than Europe.
In relation to our field off operation (trucking) there one question that does warrants a answer:"if American trucks are the best ,why is there only 1 true American truckbuilder left (Paccar)???
( all others have been bankrupted or are foreign owned) -
When i lift my hood my whole engine and front of transmission is right in front of me.
As far as cost... much of it is the higher cost of labor here, and high corporate tax rate. -

Nazis). Would Germany allow them to do the same there? I'd guess not. They would hit them with such a high import tax there would be no benefit to move the plant.
Or we could look at this another way. American truck companies are so good that European companies were willing to pay ridiculously high to aquire them. I don't necessarily believe this, but there is a reason daimler over paid to buy freightliner. Same with volvo buying mack. I don't know the reason, but that doesnt mean there wasnt one. Perhaps it was to aquire technologies in the r&d phase? -
[QUOTE="Verdel, post: 6420015, member: 128272" I used to drive Freightliner Argosy and was very happy with it. You lift the cab and the whole engine is in front of you. Very easy to replace any part.[/QUOTE]
I drove a cabover for some time years back. Had very few conventionals then due to the length laws at the time. And I'll tell you now, it is a heck of a lot easier to raise the hood on my conventional than it ever was to lift that cabover. And I have better access to the engine with a conventional too.
Also, I drove European style trucks (Mercedes and Volve for a couple years when I worked in the middle east. They do pull pretty good but they ride rough and you have a tiny sleeper. -
daf105paccar Thanks this.
