I wonder why his brakes failed.

So his load shifted? And his brakes failed? Wow! If this is the case, the owner of this truck should be banned for life from ever doing business again...

Trucking is one of the most dangerous professions there is. I pray the driver is ok and can make a full recovery.

    Puppage and pattyj Thank this.

    Brakes failed?

This can happen when you abuse and neglect them. I'm sorry but brakes don't "just suddenly fail" but it's a common go-to reply by desperate truckers who survive a major screw up.

Is there a good hill leading down to that intersection? I'm inclined to think a top-heavy load and a careless driver colluded to create this incident.

I would have speculated why they had to go so fast? Looks more like too much speed for the turn. Any driver worth their salt can slow down even with brake fade. Looks to be a fairly flat area with out hills to lose ones brakes.

    Lepton1 and G13Tomcat Thank this.
